How to create a Geo Zone on the Ramp Web Platform
A Place is a location that has been created in the Ramp Web Portal. Once a Place has been created, you can then assign it a Geo Zone.
The Geo Zone boundaries are fairly accurate, to within about 3-5 metres.
1. Log in to the Ramp Web Portal, then go to Places > Places.
2. On the Place that you want to add a Geo Zone for, click the arrow next to View and click Edit.
Note: If the place doesn’t exist, click Add Place at the top of the page, type in the name of the place, then click Create.
3. At the top of the page, click the Update Geo Zone tab.
4. Use the map controls to navigate to the area where you want to draw your Geo Zone.
5. Click Add GeoZone.
6. Click at a point on the map where you want to mark the Geo Zone. It will add a marker with a number like below.
7. Click to select another point for the edge of your Geo Zone. Keep clicking to draw out the shape of the Geo Zone.
Note: To restart, click “Undo All Changes”.
8. To stop editing the Geo Zone, click “Finish Edit”.
9. Optionally, you can change the colour to make the Geo Zone more visible.
10. Click “Update” in the top right corner.
Note: For overlapping Geo Zones, you can set the priority of each to specify which will be selected if your location is in an overlapping part. The Geo Zone with the lowest number will be selected, so 0 = highest priority, then 1, 2, 3, etc.
