How to physically setup and connect your printer.
Printer Setup
Powering the Printer
On the back of the printer, you will find a variety of ports designed for power and connectivity. Simply connect the included power cable to the port indicated in the image below, and plug the other end into a standard power outlet.
Establishing Communication with the Printer
To enable communication between your computer and the printer, you have the option to use a USB Type B cable or an Ethernet cable.
- When using a USB cable, connect the USB Type B end to the printer's USB Type B port, and the USB Type A end to your computer's USB Type A port.
- If you prefer to use an Ethernet cable, simply connect one end to the printer's Ethernet port and the other end to your computer's Ethernet port.
Connecting the printer to an existing network via the Ethernet port allows other devices on the same network to communicate with the printer.
- Simply attach one end of the Ethernet cable to the printer and the other end to a network switch. Ensure that all computers are also connected to the same network either through Wi-Fi or direct Ethernet.
