Performing a Stock Adjustment

How to Add and Remove Stock using Adjust Stock

The Adjust Stock functionality allows the user to scan RFID tags and adjust the stock levels accordingly at the given location. Stock adjustment includes the ability to remove or add stock to the location.

When using the add stock feature, previously known items will not be re-added as stock even if they're scanned during this process. As a result, you will not have duplicated stock levels if you scan the same stock repeated times.

Starting a Stock Adjustment

  1. Open the Ramp Retail App  and login.

  2. Tap on the Stock Management tile followed by the Adjust Stock tile.

Scanning the Stock

During this phase, it is highly recommended to keep the power to a minimum if possible to avoid overscanning other RFID tags in the vicinity. This allows you to confirm the RFID tag quantity as well during this adjustment period.

If you're able to isolate the RFID tags that you wish to scan, then it is recommended to use a higher RFID power to ensure that all RFID tags are scanned.

  1. Upon selecting the tile, the Stock Adjustment SKU page will appear with the option to adjust power levels and reset RFID tag scans.

  2. To start scanning the stock that needs to be adjusted, quickly tap the trigger once. The RFID handheld will play a starting reading tone and the green reading indicator will appear at the bottom of the screen.

  3. As each RFID tag is scanned, the corresponding SKU quantity will be updated to visually show the user how many RFID tags of each SKU are present. This information is helpful in letting the user immediately see the quantities of each SKU and confirm prior to performing the adjustment.

Adding or Removing the Stock

    1. Once the stock has been scanned and you have visually confirmed the quantities, tap the Adjust Stock button to begin adding or removing the stock. You will be prompted on whether you have finished scanning stock or not. Tap Yes to continue.

    2. You will be prompted to select whether you wish to add stock or remove stock. Tap Add Stock to continue. If removing stock, skip to step 5.

    3. Upon tapping Add Stock, the Places Selection page will appear and request that you select which location the stock will be added into. Tap the desired location to continue. If you're unable to view your desired location, see the Settings Guide for adjusting your default location.

    4. Upon tapping your location, the application will begin processing the stock into their desired location. You will be returned to the Stock Adjustment page with a notification stating Stock Added once completed.
    5. If removing stock, the application will begin processing the stock and removing these items from Loca.fi. Once processed, you will be returned to the Stock Adjustment page with a notification stating Stock Removed once completed.

Removing Accidental Scans

During the scanning process, you may accidentally scan RFID tags that do not need to be adjusted; either by coming too close to the RFID tag or if the RFID power level was set too high. There are two methods available for removing these scanned RFID tags; removing only the affected SKU and removing all the RFID tags read.
  1. To remove only the affected SKU, swipe left on the SKU to reveal the Delete button. Pressing the Delete button will remove all scans associated with the chosen SKU. This method is useful for removing SKUs that do not need to be adjusted or unknown SKUs that the system is not aware of.

  2. To remove all RFID tags read, press the Reset button. You will be prompted with a dialog to confirm whether you wish to continue resetting the current RFID tag scan. Tap Yes to continue. This method is useful for restarting an RFID tag scan to confirm scan quantities.
