Using the Devices Tab
<p>The Devices section lists every RFID device your organisation has with Ramp: handheld readers, fixed portal readers, printers, antennas and accessories. Use it to check where a device is, whether it is online, how much warranty is left on it, and to raise a repair request without leaving the portal.</p>
<h2>Before you start</h2>
<ul> <li>You need a Ramp360 portal login. If you do not have one yet, see <a href="https://support.ramprfid.com/knowledge/using-the-ramp-customer-portal">Using the Ramp Customer Portal</a>.</li> <li>Devices is switched on per organisation. If you cannot see it in the left-hand navigation, contact Ramp support and we will enable it for your account.</li> <li>Only devices supplied or registered by Ramp appear here. Equipment bought elsewhere will not be listed.</li></ul>
<h2>Opening the Devices section</h2>
<ol> <li>Log in to the portal.</li> <li>Select <strong>Devices</strong> in the left-hand navigation.</li> <li>The <strong>My Devices</strong> table loads, showing every device registered to your organisation.</li></ol>
<!-- SCREENSHOT: the Devices section with the My Devices table loaded, left-hand nav visible. -->
<h2>Reading the device list</h2>
<p>Each row is one device. The table shows:</p>
<table> <thead> <tr> <th>Column</th> <th>What it tells you</th> </tr> </thead> <tbody> <tr> <td><strong>Serial Number</strong></td> <td>The manufacturer's serial. This is the number Ramp support will ask for, and the one printed on the device label.</td> </tr> <tr> <td><strong>Model</strong></td> <td>The device model, for example a handheld reader or RFID printer model number.</td> </tr> <tr> <td><strong>Company</strong></td> <td>Which of your sites the device belongs to. This column appears only if your organisation is set up with multiple sites.</td> </tr> <tr> <td><strong>Status</strong></td> <td>Where the device is in its life with you. See the status table below.</td> </tr> <tr> <td><strong>Online Status</strong></td> <td>Whether the device has recently reported in to the device management service. Useful for spotting a handheld that has been left in a drawer or has lost connectivity.</td> </tr> <tr> <td><strong>Last Check In</strong></td> <td>When the device last reported in.</td> </tr> <tr> <td><strong>Warranty End</strong></td> <td>The warranty expiry date. Dates within the next 90 days are highlighted so they are easy to spot.</td> </tr> </tbody></table>
<p>Select any column heading to sort by it. Select a row to open the full detail panel for that device.</p>
<h3>Device statuses</h3>
<table> <thead> <tr> <th>Status</th> <th>Meaning</th> </tr> </thead> <tbody> <tr><td><strong>Deployed</strong></td><td>In service at one of your sites.</td></tr> <tr><td><strong>In Stock</strong></td><td>Held as spare stock, not currently in service.</td></tr> <tr><td><strong>Ordered</strong></td><td>On order with Ramp, not yet shipped.</td></tr> <tr><td><strong>Allocated</strong></td><td>Reserved for you and being prepared.</td></tr> <tr><td><strong>Shipped</strong></td><td>Dispatched and on its way to you.</td></tr> <tr><td><strong>In Repair</strong></td><td>With Ramp or the manufacturer for repair. Track progress on the Support section.</td></tr> <tr><td><strong>Loan Unit</strong></td><td>A temporary replacement supplied while your own device is being repaired.</td></tr> <tr><td><strong>Returned</strong></td><td>Sent back to Ramp.</td></tr> <tr><td><strong>Decommissioned</strong></td><td>Retired from service and no longer supported.</td></tr> <tr><td><strong>Lost</strong></td><td>Reported lost or unaccounted for.</td></tr> </tbody></table>
<h2>Finding a device</h2>
<p>Use the toolbar above the table to narrow the list. The search box and the four filters work together, so you can combine them.</p>
<ol> <li><strong>Search</strong>: type a serial number, model or manufacturer. The list filters as you type.</li> <li><strong>All Types</strong>: limit to one kind of device, such as Handheld RFID Reader, Fixed Portal RFID Reader, Standalone RFID Reader, RFID Printer, RFID Antenna, RFID Tag or Accessory.</li> <li><strong>All Statuses</strong>: limit to one of the statuses listed above.</li> <li><strong>All Manufacturers</strong>: limit to one manufacturer, such as Chainway, CipherLab, Impinj, Keonn, SATO, Zebra, TSL, Invengo, Omni-ID or Confidex.</li> <li><strong>Warranty Status</strong>: limit by how much cover is left.</li></ol>
<p>The Warranty Status filter uses a 90 day window:</p>
<ul> <li><strong>Active</strong>: more than 90 days of warranty remaining.</li> <li><strong>Expiring Soon</strong>: 90 days or fewer remaining, but not yet expired. This is the list to review when you are planning a renewal or a hardware refresh.</li> <li><strong>Expired</strong>: warranty has already ended.</li></ul>
<p>Devices with no warranty recorded are excluded from all three options, so they will not appear under any Warranty Status filter.</p>
<!-- SCREENSHOT: the search box and the four filter dropdowns, with Warranty Status open. -->
<h3>Filtering by site</h3>
<p>If your organisation has more than one site, a row of site buttons appears above the table, grouped by region. Select a region to see only its sites, then select a site to see only its devices. Select the same button again to clear it.</p>
<p><strong>Note:</strong> choosing a region or site clears the search box and the four filters. This is deliberate, so that switching site always shows you that site's full device list rather than a list still narrowed by a filter you set somewhere else. Reapply any filters you need after you have picked the site.</p>
<h2>Viewing device details</h2>
<p>Select a row to open the detail panel. It has four tabs.</p>
<h3>Overview</h3>
<p><strong>Identification</strong>: Device Type, Model, Manufacturer, SKU, and where recorded, IMEI and Ramp Asset Tag.</p>
<p><strong>Deployment</strong>: Deployment Site, Deployment Date and Enrollment Date.</p>
<h3>Health</h3>
<p>Online Status, Battery Level, OS Version, the device management agent version and, for devices with a SIM, the Cellular Carrier. Where check-in reporting is available you will also see when the device last reported in.</p>
<p>A device showing offline with an old check-in time is usually switched off, out of range or off the network rather than faulty. Check that before raising a repair.</p>
<h3>Warranty</h3>
<p><strong>Warranty</strong>: Warranty Type, Status, Start Date and Expiry Date. The status badge reads <strong>Active</strong> when there is more than 90 days left, counts down the remaining days once the device is inside 90 days, and reads <strong>Expired</strong> after the expiry date.</p>
<p><strong>Service History</strong>: Last Service and Next Service. Next Service shows <strong>Overdue</strong> in red if the service date has passed, counts down the days once the service is due within 30 days, and otherwise shows the scheduled date. A decommission date appears here if one has been recorded.</p>
<h3>History</h3>
<p>Purchase Date, any notes recorded against the device, and the order it came in on.</p>

<h2>Requesting a repair</h2>
<p>You can raise a repair request straight from a device, which saves re-entering its details.</p>
<ol> <li>Select the device in the list to open its detail panel.</li> <li>Select <strong>Create RMA Ticket</strong> at the top of the panel.</li> <li>The request form opens with the device already filled in. Describe the fault and submit.</li></ol>
<p>The device moves to <strong>In Repair</strong> and the request appears on the Support section, where you can follow it through RMA Submitted, Device Received, Under Repair, On Its Way Back and Complete. For the full process, including packing and shipping, see <a href="https://support.ramprfid.com/knowledge/submitting-an-rma-request">Submitting an RMA Request</a>.</p>
<p>Before raising a repair it is worth checking <a href="https://support.ramprfid.com/knowledge/self-repairs-guide">the self repairs guide</a>, since some faults can be resolved on site.</p>
<h2>RFID Infrastructure</h2>
<p>If your site has fixed RFID infrastructure, a second section appears below the device table showing the live status of your readers and handheld agents. Three counts sit at the top: <strong>Total</strong>, <strong>Online</strong> and <strong>Offline</strong>.</p>
<p>Each row shows the Agent Name, Hardware Key, Status, Last Heartbeat and Agent Type. Select <strong>Refresh</strong> to pull the latest status.</p>
<p>This section reads live from the RFID platform rather than from your device records, so it is the quickest way to confirm that a portal or fixed reader is actually up. An agent that has stopped sending heartbeats is usually a power or network problem at the reader. If the section reports that it could not load, or shows no agents at all, contact Ramp support with your site name.</p>

<h2>Frequently asked questions</h2>
<p><strong>A device is missing from the list.</strong> Check that no filter is still applied, including a site button, and clear the search box. If it is still missing, the device may not be registered against your organisation yet. Contact Ramp support with the serial number.</p>
<p><strong>A device shows In Repair but I did not send it anywhere.</strong> Check the Support section for an open repair request against that serial. If there is none, contact Ramp support so the status can be corrected.</p>
<p><strong>Online Status looks wrong.</strong> Online Status comes from the device management service and updates when the device reports in, not in real time. Compare it against Last Check In before treating it as a fault.</p>
<p><strong>Warranty End is blank.</strong> No warranty has been recorded for that device. Contact Ramp support if you believe it should be under cover.</p>
