How to View Events and Previous Histories
As part of many fixed-RFID solutions, events are used to track the different scanning events that are triggered by fixed-RFID solutions. These events include item movements past a portal and marking items as Sold/Stolen if implemented in a security solution.
Accessing the Events History Tab
- Log into Ramp Web using your given credentials
- Navigate to Events > Event Records from the left-side menu.
Understanding the Event Records
From this screen, you will be presented of every scan event that has been recorded by all RFID portal devices that are configured to record. Based on the information that is recorded, users can do several things with the table:
- Sort through the different headings by clicking on them. Doing so will sort by ascending or descending order based on how many times it has been clicked.
- Users can filter for specific events by using the filtering boxes underneath the headers. It should be noted that you should use singular or known descriptors if you're having difficulty finding the specific event.
- The date and time filters can help narrow down the specific time frame that you're looking to investigate.
Based on the Event Name, there may be different recorded events depending on the ruleset that is configured against each portal. Typically, the events presented are:
- Item Stolen: An item has been scanned by a RFID Security Reader and has not been marked as safe to pass.
- Item Sold: An item has been scanned by an RFID Point-of-Sale reader and has been marked as sold and safe to pass under an RFID Security Reader
- Item Moved: An item has been recorded as having been scanned by an RFID Portal and moved according to the rule set of the Portal.
