What to do with Excess RFID Printed RFID Tags?

Managing Inventory Tags

When dealing with inventory tags, it's important to handle them correctly to maintain accurate stock records. Follow these steps based on whether the tag corresponds to current stock or not:

If the Tag is Associated with Current Stock:

  1. Utilize a handheld scanner to adjust the tag out of the system.
  2. Dispose of the tag in a location far from the stock area or destroy it to ensure it can no longer be scanned.

If the Tag is Not Associated with Current Stock:

  1. Simply dispose of the tag in a location far from the stock area or destroy it to prevent future scanning.

Why Dispose of Tags Away from Stock Areas?

Disposing of tags in distant locations or destroying them ensures they won't be inadvertently scanned during future stock checks or orders, preventing any unintentional inclusion in inventory records.

By following these guidelines, you'll help maintain the accuracy and integrity of your inventory management system.
