How to Fulfill a Shopify Order

How Shopify orders are fulfilled operationally using an RFID handheld

Overview

Sales orders originate in Shopify and are synced to Ramp as outbound orders. Ramp is used to perform fulfilment workflows, including picking and dispatch.

This article describes operational fulfilment. Refer to Shopify Order Sync for more details.

Using Shopify Orders in Ramp

After syncing, orders appear in Ramp under Orders.

These orders can be processed using:

  • RFID handheld picking workflow
  • Dispatch confirmation

Refer to How to Pick Orders for operational instructions.

Fulfillment Lifecycle

The fulfillment process consists of:

  1. Customer places an order that needs to be fulfilled
  2. Fulfillment order synced to Ramp
  3. Order picked and processed using handheld devices
  4. Order marked as dispatched in Ramp
  5. Order marked as fulfilled in Shopify

Troubleshooting

Order Not Appearing in Ramp

Verify:

  • Order exists in Shopify
  • Order has been fully created and saved

Contact support@ramp.com.au if the issue persists.

Changes in Shopify Not Reflected in Ramp

Once fulfillment processing begins in Ramp:

  • Changes in Shopify may or may not sync, depending on the integration settings

Try closing and opening the order on the handheld first. If the changes are not reflected, contact support@ramp.com.au.
