How to print tags from a premade or exported csv file.
Exported files from third party stock managers or premade files for printing can be printed using the print from import file menu.
Before printing from a file, the file format must be configured and matched to the csv import mapping in Ramp Print. Ensure that you have saved this template. For more information please read Managing import templates for more information.
- Open the Ramp Print application and log in on the device that is connected to the RFID Printer.
- Navigate to the Print from File menu.
- If your watch location has not been configured then a blank screen will be presented, in this case a watch location can be selected or a file can be manually selected by clicking the open file icon in the top right of the screen.
- Locate and select the file you would like to open and click Open to open the file.
- Locate and select the file you would like to open and click Open to open the file.
- If the watch location has been selected, a series of files will appear, double click the one to print.
- Select the print type, template for your tag, the printer to print from and the import template that is configured for your file format.
- There are three types of printing from a file:
- Direct from file allows the user to enter in all the data of the tag stored in different columns in the csv and the is directly sent to the printer.
- SKU Tags from file allows the user to format the data into just the SKUs, these SKUs are then looked up and printed using the data stored in the Ramp database.
- Create SKU Items from file is similar to the former although it will create new SKU items and print them instead of looking them up in the Ramp database.
- There are three types of printing from a file:
- Click Create Print Job to add the file's contents to the print queue
