Shopify File Import
For precise control over Shopify data updates
Overview
Manual file import can be used when you require precise control over what data is updated in Shopify.
The most common use case is updating stock levels after completing a stocktake in Ramp.
Shopify stock can be updated in one of two ways:
- Automatically via the inventory sync integration (refer to Shopify Inventory Sync)
- Manually using a CSV file import
Manual import allows you to review and adjust stock quantities before they are applied in Shopify.
When to use Manual Import
Manual import is recommended when:
-
You want to review variances before updating Shopify
-
You want to adjust specific SKUs only
-
Automatic stock sync is disabled
-
You require audit control over what is uploaded
If automatic inventory syncing is enabled, manual import is not required.
Supported Manual Imports
Ramp currently supports manual export for:
-
Stocktake variance → Shopify inventory import (refer to Importing a Stocktake to Shopify)
No other Shopify-specific export formats are currently provided.
If you require a different export format, contact support@ramp.com.au.
