How to Perform a Transfer With Shopify
How to create and process inventory transfers for execution in Ramp
Overview
Transfers must be created and marked Ready to Ship in Shopify before they can be processed in Ramp. They will then sync to Ramp as Transfer Orders.
Refer to Shopify Transfers Sync for details of transfers are synced.
Previously, transfers for Shopify were managed through Stocky.
Stocky Transfers were deprecated in 2025 and have been moved to Shopify Admin.
Creating a Transfer
1. Open Shopify Admin.
2. Navigate to Products -> Transfers

2. Select Create Transfer.
3. Set the Origin and Destination.
Once a Transfer order has been set as Ready to Ship, the Origin location and the Destination location can no longer be changed.
4. Add products and their quantities.

5. Save the transfer.

6. Mark the order as Ready to Ship.

Using the Transfer in Ramp's system
After the transfer has synced to Ramp's system, it appears under Orders as a transfer order.
Transfer orders are used for:
- Picking and receiving stock
- Printing RFID tags
For more information about using a transfer, refer to the below articles.
Limitations
Transfers should be fully configured and authorised in Shopify before processing in Ramp. Ramp's system is to be used exclusively for execution and inventory movement validation.
